Olympics 2008

Wow... Olympics was really addictive and had steal alot of my precious time studying for my upcoming trial exams.

Anyway, I had learn alot of things regarding sports. Well, it's alot for a person like me who doesn't even bother a single thing about sports.

Let me see, this is the events I saw during the Olympics Period :-

Olympics Grand Opening
Good Stuff
Amaze!! O.O With the amount of performers and fireworks. 1500 performers.
Man Power!! Synchronization and Coordination!!! Lighting Effect and as well as the whole idea of presenting the chinese culture. So classy and beautiful. Really respect them. Expected from China.

Bad Stuff
Girl lip-singing. :( And fake fireworks.

Archery
Watch the match on Quarterfinals between China and Great Britian. Great Britian actually not bad but still can't beat China. China always scored around perfect 10. Bulleye!! If not mistaken, Chen Ling everytime scored perfect 10.

Badminton
Good Stuff
Wow, this one is 1 of the sports I watched the most. Saw the one on mixed doubles, women doubles,man doubles, woman singles and man singles. Lolz...

Mixed Doubles : Happy that China won against Indonesia for the Bronze Medal. XD
Women Doubles : Wow China (Du Jing and Yu Yang) had a good match with the Korea. Not bad.... And This pair is a tough pair compared to the other China group. XD
Man Doubles : Denmark gives free point to Korea on the very last point for Korea to win. Funny....
Woman Singles : My guess of Zhang Ning winning against Xie XingFang was correct. Wow!!Although I don't really know who they are. XD
Men Singles : Chong Wei won silver medal and beat Korea!!

Bad Stuff
Mixed Doubles : Unfair for the linesman who keep on giving free points to Indonesia when it was supposed to be China's points. It was nearly 3 free points but thanks to the China coach who went to negotiate. Even Yu Yang didn't want to give the shuttlecock to Indonesia due to the unfairness. Hitting right on the line by China was Indonesia's point. Indonesia hit the shuttlecock before it landed and it's out was also Indonesia's point. Where's the fairness?? Lucky after the 3rd time, they planned not to hit anymore near the line and take no risk. Thank god China won! So unfair.

Men Singles : Chong Wei lost to Lin Dan badly. Bad perfomance. Didn't expect that bad from a person who had beaten Lin Dan BEFORE.

Diving
Good Stuff
Wow, All the divers from china was spectacular. And also from Canada as well as Rusia.
Tight fight in 10m platform for Womens. 100.3 points for Chen Ruolin (15 yrs old) on the last dive. Very small/No ripples wei. Amazing!!
Guo Jing Jing with her consistency and accuracy scored a medal in 3m platform for Womens.
So cute the guy from Great Britian in 10m platform for Mens. 14 years old only.

Bad Stuff
China lost in 10m platform for Mens. Haha Actually it was funny. Since China won so many gold medals for Diving. At last! They lost one. XD
Bad performance from Canada on the 3m platform for Womens. Was expecting her to be top 3 since she did so well in the preliminary.

Gymnastics
China again won.... Like ALWAYS. Haha found out that they are good at gymnastics but not good in rhythmic gymnastics. Russia beat them flat. XD But I like the one on Group gymnastics from China. Not bad. Bronze. But Russia beat them AGAIN. XD
Got to learn the names of the gymnasts and I mistakenly said Chong Wei's name as Yang wei ONCE. Lolz. But I didn't mistaken their faces kay. XD

Swimming
Haha Saw a tight competition where at the start of the game, the no.1 swimmer was far ahead and after a few rounds, the no.2 swimmer caught up. Just a 1 millisecond, the no.1 swimmer still won due to longer hand. Lolz... Pity the effort the no.2 swimmer put in. Tight fight.

Another wan. Saw a competition on the long swim about 1500m. Funny how China swam from 3rd place at the first few laps and end up last at the end of the competition.

Synchronize Swimming
Wow.. China not bad. Improving.
Shock!! O.O How Russia get 100 points?? Perfect score!! :(

Taekwondo
Good stuff
Haha Malaysia didn't win any medal. But I love Chew Chan CHE's kick onto the opponent's head.
My prediction on Korea winning medals since Korea is the origin of Taekwondo was correct. Wow!! Hahaha! Cool... At least Wat I told my mum was true. XD
Learn that Round-Horse Kick = Turning Kick

Bad Stuff
Realize how we, students at MSSD/ Other Sparring Competition fight like monkeys compared to Olympics standard.
We, students kick like 10-20 kicks in 1 minute while they kick like about less than 5 kicks. =_="

Closing Ceremony
Good Stuff
Like the Grand Ceremony. Beautiful!!
Love the Flower Blossom Made by human coordination and synchronization. Lightning Effect. Love the song on I Love Beijing. XD
The Mascot!! As well as the Bus unfold into a stage was unexpected.
Of course, The Fireworks. So nice...

Bad Stuff
I think the bunch of ladies singing some opera song were lip-singing too. To Me, they look like they were. Just my opinion :(
